Karate for Life is an organization that began with the goal of blessing others and providing Martial Arts to children that otherwise may never have the opportunity.  The idea to  "Be a Difference"  in children's lives and be a bridge between the Martial Artists and Youth Mission Organizations came true.

The Schumann Girls have been blessed in many ways and in turn feel it is important to bless others. One of the opportunities they have had is to train and compete in the martial arts. They have also been privileged to represent Team USA in Montreal Canada in October 2012, what an honor!

These girls have what it takes to represent the United States, as well as a heart to give back to the community, without trophies. They are great role models for the kind of community involvement and social activism that is wonderful to see in youth today. It is an opportunity where we quite literally take our martial arts "out of the dojo - and into the world."

We all have different challenges and trials but perserverance is the key to overcoming and they feel it is important to share with others, especially children that have obstacles in their daily life. "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perserverance. Let perserverance finish its work so that you may be complete not lacking anything." James 1:2-4

Tournament competition has always been a part of the Schumann Family martial arts training. Even though there is only one first place trophy, the girls know that when you compete against our own best self and give back to others, you are a true winner. The martial arts gives them a chance to do just that.
